• Dendro4Art is an online portal with metadata and raw data based on dendrochronological research. Dendro4Art is an initiative developed by CATS at SMK (Copenhagen) and the RKD (The Hague) and was made possible thanks to a generous grant provided by The Carlsberg Foundation, Denmark.
• You will find research data and information on paintings by clicking on the buttons below and will subsequently be redirected to the RKDTechnical or RKDImages database in Explore. You can continue to search for data in RKDTechnical or RKDImages by using the filter options.

• The dendrochronology research conducted by Peter Klein forms the foundation of Dendro4Art.

The original dendrochronological reports by Peter Klein are vital for the interpretation of the dating and origin of the wood used in art objects. In addition to the metadata, more than 16.600 raw tree-ring measurements were transferred to CATS by Peter Klein. Here the data were migrated into currently accessible datasets. This immense and unique raw tree-ring dataset for each piece of wood used in art objects is now available for review thanks to a new data management system that can be accessed and used for future research.
